Location and Opening hours

Kapiti Miniature Railway is located in Marine Gardens, 338A Rosetta Road, Raumati Beach on the Kapiti Coast, 50km north of Wellington. (View Google map). We are usually open on Sunday afternoons from 1.00 pm until 4.00 pm and on Special Public Holidays.

Our Fares

Single trip ticket - $1.50 per person
Six trip ticket - $8.00
Twelve trip ticket - $15.00
Children under 3 – Free
CASH ONLY, sorry no eftpos.  Cash machines in local shopping centre.  Koha or donations welcome.
Drive a train – just $10 will get you in the driver’s seat of our tram for a trip around the track with a club member.  

Just ask at the ticket office.

Twilight and Special Runs

 

Our next twilight run will be on Matariki - Friday 28 June 2024 from 4-7 pm.

 

Also we will be operating on King's Birthday Monday 3 June 2024 from 1-4 pm.
